Voskevaz Winery produces outstanding high-quality wines, which mix winemaking practices and innovations. This is possibly the oldest established winery in modern Armenia .
The Voskevaz winery was opened in 1932. It produced sweet and fruit wines beneath the commands of the Soviet planned economy. After Independence, the winery gradually dropped into disrepair until the Hovhannisyan family bought it in 2004. They began to slowly transform the facility into a contemporary and stylish winery and sightseer destination. They upgraded the winemaking team and presented dry table wines. The turning moment was the arrangement of the Karasi Collection which was launched with the 2014 vintage. The success and acclaim these special wines have won have promoted Voskevaz’s vintage wines to the point where they now have one of the most comprehensive and thriving portfolios of Armenian wines.
Voskevaz does not own any vineyards but has contracts with farmers giving them access to some of Armenia’s best and most aged vineyards.
Voskevaz winery is located in the Aragatsotn province of Armenia in the village of the same name Voskevaz. On the territory of the winery is created a special touristic complex, which is designed with parts and signs of Armenian architecture. During the tour, you will not only get acquainted with the rich history of Armenian winemaking and the winery, but also will taste wines from the large assortment range of “Voskevaz Winery” production: young or aged red and white assemblages, exquisite dessert wines and limited series of unique monovarietal wines for true connoisseurs.
