Golden Grape ArmAs was founded in 2007 by Armenak Aslanian, who repatriated to his birthplace for the actualization of dreams that involve the intertwined aspects of family, heritage, culture, and progress, with personal values and responsibilities he maintains as a father, an entrepreneur, and as an Armenian. Alongside his daughters, he keeps an 80-year-old family practice of wine, naming ArmAs in honor of his grandfather Armenak Aslanian Sr., the original winemaker in the family. He continues to develop ArmAs Estate with a vision to partake in upholding and revitalizing Armenia’s winemaking legacy, in the oldest known area for viticulture and enology.
Golden Grape Armas Estate tours start with an expedition of our panoramic vineyards and orchards throughout the estate. As you explore the grounds and uncover ArmAs, let the sun and soil surround you with the magnificent aura of our traditional heritage. Your guide will provide a narrative of the chronology of wine and brandy in Armenia, as well as a modern summary of those dynamic industries as you enter the ArmAs basement.
A walk through the winery and distillery will present you to current production techniques, as well as provide insight into the age-old tradition of barrel aging. Our transparency of operations is a testament to our uncompromising dedication to quality.
You may conclude your sensory tutorial with an educational wine tasting in our Tasting Room or on the balcony surveying ArmAs Estate onto Mount Ararat.
