Why Russians choose to visit most frequently
Over the past 20 days Russians scoured most frequently for air access to Turkey, Uzbekistan and Armenia, according to the findings of the travel planning service OneTwoTrip, TASS news agency reported.
“In the past week, more and more Russian airlines resumed flights to some foreign countries after the suspension on March 8. The most popular foreign destinations are Turkey (17.6%), Uzbekistan (12.3%) and Armenia (10.5%),’ said the company.
There are direct flights from major Russian cities to these destinations, including by local companies. For example, one can fly to Armenian capital Yerevan not only by Armenian airlines, but also by Russian flagship transport Aeroflot.
Experts also analyzed the cost of tickets and found out that the cheapest travels in March and April will be to Armenia. The average cost of a one-way ticket from Moscow to Yerevan is 19 thousand rubles. The cost of a ticket to Dushanbe (Tajikistan) is 22.2 thousand rubles and to Istanbul – 39.8 thousand rubles.
The simplest entry rules for Russians are in Turkey, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Georgia.
Russians can travel to all these countries with a negative PCR test or a certificate of complete vaccination, including with Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
