Approaching Sustainable ecosystems and Biodiversity

Karas Wines is the impact of a household striving to restore roots in the original motherland, renewing practices, and also ensuring sustainable ecosystems and biodiversity. Eduardo Eurnekian and Juliana del Aguila Eurnekian who are uncle and niece, are responsible for the premium vineyard property Bodega Del Fin DEl Mundo, in Neuquen, Argentina.

Together, they’ve been making wine for more than a decade in Patagonia, a region known for its wines or origin, and shoulder to shoulder they founded Karas in Armavir, whose volcanic terroir is equally unique.

Wide range of Karas Wine grapes

Vintner and sommelier Juliana turned her head to winemaking years ago with one of the world’s greatest mentors: Michel Rolland. All three embarked on this special project that has both innovation and environmental responsibility at its heart, believing Karas will build bridges between Armenia and the rest of the world.

In the volcanic soil of Ararat Valley, Karas winery grows 30 local and international grape varieties. The wide range of grapes cultivated in the vineyards of Karas Wines is Kangun, Rkatsiteli, Chardonnay, Ugni Blanc, Viognier, Areni, Khndoghni, Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Tannat, Petit Verdot, Ancellotta, Montepulciano and 20 more. The staff at Karas Wines produces excellent red, white, rose, and sparkling wine from these grapes.
